The mantra of any good security engineer is: 'Security is a not a product, but a process.' It's more than designing strong cryptography into a system; it's designing the entire system such that all security measures, including cryptography, work together.
The Hood College Center for Computer Security and Information Assurance, housed within the Department of Computer Science, promotes research, education, and sound internal practices in computer security and information assurance. The center coordinates educational programs and practices in information assurance, and interacts with local area businesses, laboratories, and government agencies.
